“e-Estonia” is a term commonly used to describe Estonia’s emergence as advanced e-society in the world.

e-Estonia grew out of a partnership between a forward-thinking government, a pro-active ICT sector and a switched-on, tech-savvy population.

The European Commission (Digital Single Market, Digital Economy & Society) EU eGovernment Report 2016 shows that online public services in Europe are becoming increasingly accessible across Europe.

However, it also shows that growth is uneven and a substantial number of EU countries are still lagging behind.
